History
Clint Retterath, the founder, and president of Wheelhouse Industrial, comes from a family of millwrights. Twelve of them, as a matter of fact, and his father expected Clint would be lucky number 13. So instead of heading off to college after high school, he headed off to his first job as a millwright on July 5, 1978. It was difficult work, but Clint appreciated it, saying it allowed him to see how America is made.
Gaining valuable, hands-on experience at a variety of companies, including his father’s, Clint also completed 7,000 hours of field and classroom training as part of the millwright union’s apprenticeship program. Finally, after working in the field for 13 years, Clint transitioned to business development, leveraging the relationships he had established throughout his career while creating new ones. He found he was quite good at it, too, and enjoyed helping solve his clients’ issues by providing the right services for their needs.
Finally, Clint decided to take the knowledge and experience he gained and launch his own company – Wheelhouse Industrial – with the mission of helping industrial plants run the way they are supposed to. When facility managers, plant managers, engineers, and general contractors ask, “Who can help us with that?” the answer is, “Just call Clint.”
